Private and public sectors worked together and this is now kept up beautifully. Is one of the most popular hikes in Colorado Springs.

Worth it despite the terribly generic namesake
After the incline. Went around to the saddle, but only bagged Rocky and went down, as weather was coming in. Good workout after arriving from 600ft the night prior. Summer mountain season begins..

Living in Manitou and the Springs, I made it up and nearby this mountain many times. I understand you are allowed to hike the incline now; in those days we just did it! Shame be upon us:)

Flew up the incline and on to rocky mt.
Choose to do the incline today, left my usual heavy training pack at home and just brought the camelback. Made it to the top of the incline in 40min and thought I'd just summit Rocky mt. while i was at it. Made it to the summit from the bottom of the incline in one hour! Beautiful views of Cameron Cone, that my next one! incline down halfway to Barr trail. All in all a two hour trip

Went up the incline, then finished off Rocky Mountain, then over to Mount Manitou, back to Rocky and down the Barr trail....

Beautiful day!
Up the incline, summitted the eastern false summit (fun class 4!), then the true summit, bushwhacked over and up to Mt. Manitou, then looped back around and back down the incline. A great day! Stellar views of the peak today- very clear! :-)

Via Barr Trail
What a blast! After bushwacking up to the saddle we tagged the official highpoint, added some layers and had some lunch. Then we headed over to "Mount Rebar". We had to leave the poor whimpering dog down below, but scampered up this outcrop in a roaring wind! We sat on this outcrop for a while taking in the views. This is definitely one of my favorite local summits! Don't even think about visiting this mountain without a trip to the "rebar" highpoint. The beauty of the sandy, boulder-studded summit area combined with the excitement of the "Mount Rebar" scramble totally make this a wonderful day. Strange weather day, though, with an inversion pattern making it cold, foggy * snowy down below and warmish and sunny at the summit. Hiking partner: Deb. Dog: Stimpy.

Did Barr Trail to the Experimental Forest turnoff, then summited Mount Manitou. Relaxed and took a little nap (that was wonderful!) after which my dog Keisha and I took the trail over to Rocky Mountain. Another beautiful view, and I took the time to mark the trail at the top a little better.

6th climb (1st with the dog)
This is my 6th climb of Rocky, but set a couple of firsts. This was my first summit of Rocky with my dog Keisha, and the first time I'd done both Manitou (5th summit) and Rocky Mountain at the same time. To top it off, we did the Incline in about 54 minutes. Still getting in shape for the year!
Great time, just little bit of wind, lots of sun! Should be back a few more times this year.
My wife and I headed out for a jaunt up Barr Trail, turned right at No Name Creek and made our way to the top.

Hit Rocky Mountain by accident while aiming for Manitou Peak from the saddle between the two. Realized my error at the summit and corrected the situation. Thats about it for Rocky Mountain.

Incline Up, Barr Down
I'd wanted to do this for some time, but didn't know how long it would take. Gorgeous weather in the morning made the Incline a breeze (39 min.) Another 28 minutes sufficed to get me to the summit, via Eagle's Nest--which provided the days best (Class 3?) scrambling. Should have taken my camera.

Snow climb
This is my 5th ascent of Rocky Mountain since June 05.
Did the Incline this afternoon under gorgeous blue skies. Though the Incline was icy at the bottom and snowy at the top, I found myself greeting 15-20 people along the way. Strangely, I found the route up Rocky Mountain easy to follow. Not 100% sure if it was an animal trail (there were several criss crossing along the way and couldn't tell if the LARGE prints were human -- snow was melted a bit) but what was certain was that no one had been to the top in at least a month since the trail didn't go to the top. Didn't have snowshoes so I postholed quite a bit but the going wasn't too difficult. Ran down to the Barr Trail (via the top of the Incline) after a break, then walked/jogged down to the car. Had a great time!
