| I did this one as a solo hike on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend in 2004. I did see another group of hikers, but for most of the time I felt like I was the only one on the mountain. Very peaceful, and when you get a break in the trees, there are some nice views. If memory serves me correctly one has nice views of Massanutten Mt from Rocky Top. | |

| Despite its name the summit is wooded...however, there are some interesting talus scrambles with excellent views...hiked many times sinece '82 | |

| My good friend Marc Schwartz and I hiked up Rocky Top on a lovely Spring Day back in 04'. Wonderful place. A forst fire burned at opposing Masanutten Mountain. | |
