rombon,twice

Few years ago I climbed Rombon from Kluze fortress, interesting beginining, you see all those remnants from WWI, including some ferratas for military purposes. It is rather a long trip, orientation is tricky, but all unmarked paths /unknown/ are tricky for me.Views are marvellous, you see Kanin so clearly, and Montasio and Jof. Second time my cousin and me started from cable station Kanin and traversed over Cernelske spice and followed on, till Rombon. It is a long descent, we were grateful for a short summer spray ,near Bovec.A wonderful day.

My two ascents

First time I ascended Rombon from Bovec, where I was a few days during my army service. It was on April 5th, 1979.

Second time we came in a hot summer day from the upper station of Kanin cable-car. We traversed below the main ridge, ascended also Visoka Crnelska spica and continued on Rombon. The 1750m descent without any fresh water was quite unpleasant.
