Aranka ?

Does Lake Erie turn to ice in winter?

What's the temperature up there now?

Re: Aranka ?

Hi Larry We are having blizzard this weekend. I just walked on the shore today. It is icy, though now not enough to walk on it.
Usually only couple of weeks in the winter it is completely frozen and shut down for boats.

Re: Aranka ?

Hi Larry Two weeks ago, while I was on cross country skiing on the lake, I have seen the ice break Lake Erie snow machine.

Re: Aranka ?

What? I cannot quite understand it.

There is a snow machine going out on Lake
Erie? Is the ice strong enough to hold the
snow machine, or is it breaking now ???

You are lucky to have cross-country skiing.
In Arizona, it has been sunny with deep blue
skies for THREE WEEKS in a row.

Have a nice day, Aranka! : )

Re: Aranka ?

Sorry for confusion. It is a boat which brakes the ice on the surface of the water - Icebreaker maybe?
And your question previously was, if the lake freezes over the winter. Yes it does from last 10 years it did 6 times.

Re: Aranka ?

Icebreakers on Lake Erie ???

I guess that sounds plausible and logical.
I need to look it up on Google ... THANKS!
