Last Minute Snowshoe Trip Date Climbed: Mar 26, 2011
I had been invited on this trip for several days, but first I thought I would be out of the state during the summit trip and then I thought I would be needed at home that day. When neither happened, and when asked again by the group, I made the last-minute decision to go. We snowshoed the entire trip from Highway 97; it was an easy and enjoyable snowshoe trek, especially considering the snow conditions and weather forecast. The peak is not one to brag about, but a summit is a summit.
"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."
