Route overview for a portion of the approach to the Ayoloco Hut from La Joya. The photo was taken from the ridge above Boca de Tiburon (after climbing out of the Tlaltipatango Valley). The large rock wall is indicated along with the passage discussed in the main route text (see the "Approach" section of my Ayoloco Glacier page). It is necessary to locate this passage to avoid traversing too low on the mountain.
