Route to Black Velvet Peak and Whiskey Peak

The small peak in the foreground is Whiskey Peak, and the one behind it is Black Velvet Peak, with the main summit to the left and its north summit to the right. The route wanders through the desert floor before ascending the gully seen between Black Velvet and Whiskey. It ascends to a saddle (not visible) between the two peaks. From there, it is a very quick scramble to Whiskey's summit (it took me under five minutes each way) or a convoluted scramble and hike via a cairned route to the left and up the mountain face, finally reaching the ridge, where 20-30 minutes of hiking and scrambling still awaits.
