Route Description

From Plateau Rosa on the glacier crossing the skilifts to west (be carefull to the skiers!) until Gobba di Rollin (3826 m.). From this point, you have to go to NW direction until the peak (three hours - easy route).

The route is well visible from Gobba di Rollin and is without any difficults (no rock passages). Anyway, be carefull, if the weather changes, you should find some problems to looking for the right way.

The most popular approach from Testa Grigia ski station follows the pistes southeast and south until you can turn eastwards across the main ski area and through a tunnel onto a piste heading towards Klein Matterhorn. The Breithorn comes into view on your right as you follow this piste and you can head straight for it at the next piste junction on the right. You do not need to go to Gobba di Rollin or Klein Matterhorn.

Essential Gear

Basic glacier equipment (ice-axe, crampons, rope). yes, is an easy route, but you are on a glacier, remember it!
