Route Description

From your high camp or Como lake follow jeep road - trail up valley to the base of Ellingwood's southwest face at 13,200 ft. pick out a line up steep talus slope and head northwest to summit. If you chose to climb Blanca peak also, descend your accent route to 13,700 ft . and you will see some cairns. This is the high traverse and has some third class moves. If you are not up to this traverse descend to 13,500 ft. and traverse 2nd class route.
