Approach

Start up the stairs toward Moro Rock from the parking area. About 200 feet after you start, hop over the stairs and look for a steep, descending climbers' trail. After descending around 50 feet, the grade lessens, and you cannot miss a very large tree growing on the ledge in front of you. The photos below give guidance.

Route Description

The best belay station is on top of a 10-foot-high flake. From here, climb around 5 feet and protect groundfalls in a medium (1-2") crack. From here, make an exposed, balancey 10' traverse to the first bolt. Climb 20' to the second bolt. After the second bolt, you reach a broad slab which leads up to the stairs.

If setting up a toprope, common practice is to do this from the railing of the stairs. Two ropes are mandatory.

Essential Gear

Medium gear to protect grounder. 2 QD's, and whatever you'll need to set up an anchor.
