Introduction
This is the route used when you come from Cuchillar de las Navajas (2.508 m at El Sagrao) or Circo de Gredos integral. It's longer than Portilla del Crampón Normal ROUTE but offers greater views.

Route Description
From the hut (1.945 m) hike SW, crossing Hoya Antón as if you'd follow Portilla del Crampón Normal ROUTE. Ascend the increasing scree slopes to Portilla (gap) Bermeja (2.418 m). Then follow the right ridge, reach Risco de la Portilla del Crampón (2.562 m) and descend to Portilla del Crampón (2.538 m). Finally climb Almanzor SW face as Portilla del Crampón Normal ROUTE. 2-3 hours.
Essential Gear
Crampons, ice axe, hammer axe, ice screws, carabiners, harness and rope are very recomended early in the season.
