Route Description


The trail starts along with the Old Bridle Path from the parking lot and goes .3 miles to a bridge at Walker Brook. The path forks and the left is the Old Bridle Path. Take the right fork and cross the bridge and you are now on the Falling Waters Trail.

Living up to its name, in .5 miles from the bridge you cross Dry Brook and another .1 mile later you are at Stairs Falls. Another .1 mile further and you are at Swift Water Falls. Then it's another .4 miles to Cloudland Falls. .9 miles further is Shining Rock Cliff. From there, continue on another half mile to the summit of Little Haystack.

Length is 2.8 miles and elevation gain is about 3700 feet.
