Approach

The highest summit of the Dômes de Miage is not reached during the crossing over of the ridges described on the Dôme de Miage page. You can climb on it from the Col des Dômes.

Route Description

From the Col des Dômes cross the rimaye of the glacier in the east on the opposite way of the Dômes at the best. Usually you must conturn northern. You climb then on the steep and icy crest to the summit in 1 hour from the col des Dômes (5 hours from the Refuge des Conscrits). You can follow this ridge in eastern direction to the Refuge Durier, and the next day to the Mont Blanc over the Aiguille de Bionnassay.

Essential Gear

Rope, iceaxe, crampons
