Approach


The most dificult thing. You will start at Chacayes, about 2000 meters.
About 5 hour walking up, you'll arrive in Baños Azules, the first place to camp, close to estero del museo river, at 2400 mts.
The next day you'll have to cross the museo river and the Azufre, thar is a real deep canyon. Than you'll walk more 5 hour the loo for the first time the Tupungato. When you see it, you'll arrive at Piedra Azul camp, 3000 mts, close to the Estero del Tupungato river. These days you'll walk thru the Colorado river valley.
Continuing, you will arrive at Vega de los Flojos Camp, that you can choose beetwin these one and Piedra Azul.
From Vega de los Flojos, you must go strait thru a morein, following the colorado river. The Valley will turn right.
Walking up the second valley, when you cross the river you'll have to pay attention on your right to see the trail that continue the camp Espanholes and Penitentes, thar is base.

Arriving on the canaleta, carefull with the stones!

Essential Gear


Crampons is necessery if snow. How it's not recommended to thrust on the weather, leave it!
Rope is not necessary!
