Approach from Red Lake Trailhead (6600')
Up Red Lake Trail to Base camp at Red Lake (10,300')
Leave before sunrise to make foot of couloir, just east of East/Central couloir.
Route Description
Ascend small glacier at foot of East Couloir and St. Jean's Couloir
Stay to the right and work way up into couloir using ice ax and crampons. Beware of rock fall by mid morning.
the footing in the couloir is loose dirt and rock. Stay to the side walls if possible and stay alert to falling rock form above.
From the top of the couloir the summit is another 500' up to the left over a wide boulder field
