Approach

Africa is located at Tower Rock to get there go north from Nada through the Tunnel until you reach the river and turn right up the Red River driving east along the right bank (north side). Stay on KY 715 (don't take the curve to the left) for about 4.4 miles (1.2 miles past the bridge over Gladie Creek) to a pull off on the right. Park in the pull off and walk back down the road for about 150 feet to the trailhead for Tower Rock. Follow the trail up and to the right. Tower Rock is a large pinnacle when you reach it the trail splits to go to the north or south sides. Take the left fork to the south side of Tower Rock. The trail takes a slight bend down hill then back up to join the rock at the base of Africa. You will know your there when you locate the Iron Oxide map of the continent of Africa at the base of the climb.
