Approach

approach as on the regular Gouter route (Tete Rouse to Refuge Gouter...)

Route Description

For those who want to attempt to ski down Mont Blanc, the gouter route is one of the options. We did so in august 2003, the snowconditions were perfect, soem parts are rather steep (the part above the Refuge Vallot and the knife sharp ridge bellow the les Bosses) so good skills are necesarry. Most of the people however leave their skis at refuge Vallot.

Essential Gear

appart from the skis, take regular glacier climbing gear as well)
