Overview


This is the most easily route to go to the ciarforon summit. It’s frequently used to descent.

Approach


It's the same of north wall.

Route Description


To ref. V. Emanuele across the Moncrovè glacier and arrive on upper Monciair glacier. Many chairs sing the way. Ascend the glacier to follow the Ciarforon west wall. Climb slope broken rocks slope reach the watershed ridge at 3333 m. and than the Ciarforon pass 3317 m. To the pass go up to a broken rocks to a big snow couloir on the west wall of Ciarforon. Climb it and you arrive to the south west ridge. Whit easy moves you can arrive on the ice-cap, and then to the summit.
