Approach


From Dolgellau head up Fford Cader Idris (minor rd) to Ty Nant Car Park,from here walk back up the road to start the route from Llyn Gwernan.

Route Description


From Llyn Gwernan the route heads up in a straight forwar direction for the Foxes,it is easy walking over Heathland and streams but can get quite soddened in the winter months,as you near Llyn Gafr you have a fantasic view of The Cyfrwy,Penygadair and Twr Du with Llyn Gadair below them all.From Llyn Gadair the work starts,the path Zig Zags its way up the hill side,it's very loose and care must be taken in places,at the top you simply bear right and your at the Summit Shelter.The foxes is a very direct route to the summit.
