Follow the route from Gimillan to Punta Tersiva as far as the junction of the path, placed between the Pikacił little bridge and the Alpeggio Pralognan (about 2400 m).
Instead of going straight ahead along the pathway n°4, go left till to the Alpeggio Grauson Nuovo (2540 m), where once there was the burned Bivouac Tentori.
Just on the right of the building, go along the pathway, indicated by the yellow circle No.9 and by yellow strips marked on stones along the route, in the direction of the Coronas (or Corona) lake: cross a brook and by broad hairpin bends, after a small lake on the left, reach the Coronas lake (2702 m).

Cross the effluent of the lake and continue on the right as far as the Colle di Saint Marcel (2916 m), from which, in addition to Saint Marcel Valley, one begins to see towards North many other mountains of the alpine circle, Cervino (Matterhorn) included (at this point, 1.45 hours from the junction after the Pikacił bridge).

Tersiva, Punta photo_id=99127

After the Pass, the pathway becomes intuitive, keep always right and begin to ascend the Punta Laval along the NW side, paying attention since the route goes on along wrecks and broken rocks. After about 40' the summit is reached (3091 m), then continue along the easy ridge leading to the Punta Gianni Vert (3148 m), in the total time of 2.40 hours.

Wonderful view from the summit: in addition to the far mountain groups, one can see in particular some near summits. In particular: Punta di Leppe, Punta Garin, Mont Grauson belonging to the Emilius group; on the southern side of Grauson valley, the ridge starting from Mont Creya that, after Testa di Money, Punta Coupe, Penne Blanche and Testa di Vallonnet, ends at the Invergneux Pass.
Obviously the principal reason of interest consists in its closeness to Punta Tersiva.

Pay attention in the case of snow: during the crossing from the Punta Laval to the Punta Gianni Vert, stay always under the ridge, avoiding to walk on the snowy cornices, lethal in the event of collapse .
