Approach

The trailhead starts just behind the pool on Morrow Mountain Road in Morrow Mountain State Park.

Route Description

Follow the orange blazes up a moderate slope to the broad summit of Hattaway Mountain. The second half of the loop is more scenic, with the trail passing through a very nice old hardwood forest, through vigourous growths of ferns, and past a few seeps and springs. The total length of this trail is right at two miles, with elevation gain being about 700 feet.

Essential Gear

Hiking boots. A trekking staff is always good.
