Approach
Snowshoe up the Mosquito pass road for approximately 2.5 miles. You will pass the North London Mill at 2.0 miles. At 2.5 miles the road turns left and crosses Mosquito creek. The road then switches back at as it climbs back towards the North London Mill pass. Cross the creek and continue up the road towards North London Mill for another 0.5 miles.
Route Description
Exit the road just past a creek at 11,800 feet and start climbing west towards Oliver Twist Lake. As you climb towards the lake you will see the 12,835-foot point in front of Oliver twist lake. Go right, north around the 12,835-foot point. With the snow we never saw any lakes but most likely walked over them. After you pass the 12,835-foot point you will reach a steep 300-foot section. Climb this steep section southwest to reach the south east ridge of Mosquito Peak. There are two steep ridges to the summit. Some of us used crampons for this section and some of us climbed up in our snowshoes either one will work.
I use UTM coordinates from the topo maps and here are a few that will give you the general direction.
