Approach
You start this hike at the Juniper Flats Backcountry Board, which is on the west side of Keys View Road about one mile from Cap Rock.
Route Description
Follow the trail (California Riding and Hiking Trail) that starts at the Juniper Flats Backcountry Board for 4.5 miles to a dirt road. Turn right on the dirt road and follow it to the end which is about 1/2 mile. From the end of the road head NNW about 0.75 miles. Ascend either the SE ridge or the wash just below the ridge. To travel the wash route, hike up the wash to a fork. Follow the right fork up to a ridge located just east of the summit. Travel west up the ridge to the summit, which is marked by a large cairn.
12 miles round trip with 1,473 feet gain in elevation.
