Approach

See the Normal Route from Rifugio Carč Alto. The face is visible from the beginning of the Niscli glacier.

Route Description

The itinerary is evident. It depends on the season you climb. The approach is the same of the Normal Route for the North West ridge, but when you arrive near the ice wall follow the maximum slope where possible (ice or rocks possible). The best period, maybe is June (because in the last decades ice and snow have been very melted.

Essential Gear

Crampons and two ice axes are essential. Then useful ice nails, helmet, rope.
