Approach

From the south end of Foggy Lake, hike west-southwest over rocks and up intermittent switchbacks through heather to the low point in the southeast ridge of Gothic Peak. Nice ponds here. Stroll up ridge to base of talus field.

Route Description

Scramble up talus and/or smooth faces on left side of talus field. At apex of talus field traverse left 10m to gravel boot track leading upward to summit block. Ascend short 4th class pitch with intermittent vertical sections. Utilizing tree holds to summit and avoid going too far up boot track to airy variation with surprising exposure above NW cliffs.

Essential Gear

No gear necessary in summer season. Maybe crampons in the winter and early seasons. You might benefit from reading descriptions in Beckey and Jeff Smoots "Climbing WA Mountains" (it's mentioned under Del Campo as a side trip).
