Approach

Follow the instruction on the main page for this mountain to get to the starting point.

Route Description

From the 4WD parking spot near the Guzzler (man-made watering hole), the peak is visible and distinguished by the large brown rock faces directly below the summit and the prominent saddle to the left of the summit. You can either follow the wash that leads the the prominent saddle and then scramble west to the summit or instead of taking the wash head to northeast to point 5038 and then follow the ridge north and then northwest to the top.

Statistics: 2,000 feet of gain, 2 miles roundtrip from the 4WD
parking spot. My estimate is that the hike will take between 2.5 and 4 hours for most people.

Essential Gear

Sticky hiking shoes and plenty of water are what you need. I found hiking poles to be helpful.
