Approach

Hike four miles on the Buck Creek Trail, mostly level. At roughly the four mile mark, just past King Creek, head south/southwest through open timber and some heavy brush, crossing Buck Creek. Bushwacking south will eventually lead to the High Pass Cirque, with a straightforward hike to the East Ridge. Camping can be found in this cirque with running water.

Route Description

The East Ridge basically follows this long ridge on the crest for the most part. Depending on what you feel comfortable leading, one can veer to the north side of the ridge to avoid more difficult climbing. The rock is really solid, and pro abundant. The views are outstanding, and you're guaranteed to be the only party on the route!

Essential Gear

Basic alpine rack. Lots of long slings.
