Approach

Use the East approach (see mainpage).

Route Description

From Burro Flat, Double Lakes area or the upper Torrey, the goal is to reach No Mans Pass. The standard route is across Goat Flat. Allow plenty of time to cross Goat Flat and be prepared for directional frustration if weather moves in. It is 4 miles, most of it hiking across tundra and boulders. It is always buffetted by wind. From No Mans Pass, hike the ridge across the knoll to the base of the east slope snowfields and up to the summit.

Essential Gear

Full backpacking gear.
