Approach

This trail branches off of the Snows Mountain Trail at the top of the ski lift area and head south.

Route Description

Leaving the Snows Mountain Trail you'll descend south over some little ledges towards the main event of this trail, Greeley Ledges. These ledges are large granite outcroppings which drop about sixty feet onto the lower slopes of the mountain. The views are quite limited but the rock formations are very interesting indeed. They look like massive play blocks piled upon one another.

This trail can be done in conjunction with the Snows Mountain Trail to make a loop which comes out on the lower ski slopes. This adds an additional 0.2 miles to the trip.

Essential Gear

Comfortable hiking shoes, snacks/water, trekking poles, and a camera.

"There have been joys too great to be described in words, and there have been griefs upon which I have dared not to dwell, and with these in mind I must say, climb if you will, but remember that courage and strength are naught without prudence, and that a momentary negligence may destroy the happiness of a lifetime. Do nothing in haste, look well to each step, and from the beginning think what may be the end.
