Approach

Park you vehicle on US 19E in Tennessee where the AT crosses the road. Start on the AT going south.

Route Description

Hike south on the AT for about 5.3 miles to the summit of Big Hump Mountain elev. 5,587 ft. From here continue another 6.4 miles on the AT to the Junction for Grassy Ridge Bald. take the spur trail to the top of Grassy Ridge Bald.
