Approach

Approach from Rock Creek lake. Follow Tamarack Lk. trail until below the lakes. Then veer off toward NW couloir.

Route Description

Climb up toward the NW couloir and climb it maybe 100ft. to the broken crack system on the right hand wall of the couloir. Climb this system (loose)for 1 full pitch of sustained 5.8 Exit the system on the crest of the arete and climb class 3 until approaching a tower. Bypass just below the tower on the east side. Continue up the arete staying as true to the crest as possible to maintain the technical nature of the climb. There is never anything harder than 5.6 and usually only short sections. There is a moderate amount of loose rock on this route.

Essential Gear

Light alpine rack to 3 inches.
