Approach

Take a bus or private car. Walk to the Matukitiki Valley and French Ridge. Climb to Lucas Trotter Hut.

Route Description

From Lucas Trotter Hut walk up to Mount French area. Climb right to Quarterdeck and Bonar Glacier. Go accross the glacier to the ridge. Climb the ridge. There is another gully to climb at the top of the ridge right below summit.
