Follow the trail head from Reservation road or roaring brook. The main fire trail will wind all the way around the a few other smaller mountains before making an approach on the ridge of toby to the summit.

The main fire trail will wind all the way around the a few other smaller mountains before making an approach on the ridge of toby to the summit. It is 4 miles round trip if your start from the Roaring Brook trail head and 5+ if you start from Reservation Road.
Essential Gear
Any time except winter, this can be done with a good pair of shoes. During the winter, you might want to take a pair of snow shoes.
