Approach
To access from downtown Boulder, Colorado, head south on 9th street to its terminus at Broadway. Turn right on Broadway (west) and follow it past Chitauqua Park.
Stay left at the intersection for Flagstaff Mountain Road and follow it 1/4 of a mile to the trailhead area at Gregory Canyon.

From the Gregory Canyon Trailhead, follow the Gregory Canyon Trail north for a few hundred yards until reaching a junction with Shadow Rock Trail.
Take Shadow Rock Trail for 1.5 miles through forests and small rock out croppings until reaching a junction with Greenman Trail at the base of Green Mountain.
Take Greenman Trail 1 mile to reach the summit.
Essential Gear
No essential gear required. The trail has a lot of stair-stepping like terrain to treking poles would be helpful.
