Approach
Go NNE trough blocks and terasses from the Bergseehütte to the scharte between the Bergseeschijen itself and the northern tower. 30 min. from hut.
Route Description
First ascent: B. Boller & A. Regli, 1949.
Time: 2-4h
The route starts in the scharte between the N-tower and the mountain itself. The first pitch is a slab (IV). Continue to the right for 2/3 of pitches in rather moderate terrain (III-II) until a small grass patch. From the grass patch climb straight up along the ridge itself for 3 pitches. You will come to a scharte, after this one the crux of the route presents itself. A IV-/A0 or V- graded slab.
This route is very popular and you will face a lot of traffic in summer. Better to try it outside of the high-season for it is still a real pleasant plaisir climb.
Essential Gear
Standard rock rack supplemented with lots of schlings, some nuts and some friends.
