Approach

From Laguna de Gredos Hut, you hike up like if you were going to the north face classic. Once at the begining of this route you go a little bit further to the west till you get to the North east buttress of the mountain.

Route Description


The route is the one on the right, the #3
First pitch: Follow a gully just on the right hand of the ridge steeper and narrower till you get to a snowfield.
Second pitch. Go to te left to gain the snowed ridge.Follow the ridge till you get to a rock triangle. Continue by the left of this triangle, always on snow. Belay.
Third pitch: Reach the snowed ridge again and go direct to the north summit. Cross a rock band (M4). Summit.

Essential Gear

Two ropes, Ice axe and hammer, nuts, cams, pegs, ice screws, cramps, helmet.
