Approach

When arriving to Väröy, one comes to Sörstad(means Southtown) harbour. It's situated on the southward flat piece of land.
When getting of the boat, raise your eyes, you will see the wall in front of you.
(Not as in the term wall used in rock climbing, but that part of the island forms a protective wall that enclosures the flat areas, simply: it looks like a wall. )

The boat arrives in the middle of the night, one can pitch the tent at the bay to the left, little away from the harbour, if wanting to sleep for a few hours before exploring the island. (Remember the 150 meter rule. )

Route Description

The normal route to the top of the main part of the island is easy .
It is a scramble up at the spot where the angle is least vertical. The least vertical part is close to the poles. There has been a rope attached to the ground on some sections beside the poles which one could hold on to, if needed. I don't know if it will still be there.

The ground is grass and stones, some scree in the beginning.
It is quite easy to figure out which way to go, one sees the options clearly and are able to choose after ability.

Getting down on the backside of the island with full equipment is quite heavy work, easier to ask a fisherman to bring all gear by boat.

Essential Gear

Hiking boots are good to have, otherwise nothing is needed, really.

Miscellaneous Info

If you have information about this route that doesn't pertain to any of the other sections, please add it here.
