Overview

The obvious, left-most ridge from Williamson Bowl.
A quick, convenient alternative to the standard west face route for more adventurous types.

Getting There

Follow approach for Williamson Bowl and the normal (west face) route.

Route Description

From Williamson bowl, aim for the northernmost major gully on the west face. Climb this to the ridge (NW buttress) and follow the ridge towards the summit. Climb or skirt a few gendarmes on the way, eventually reaching the top of the standard west face gully. Walk to the true summit.

Essential Gear

small rack--a few long runners and stoppers
