OverviewThe route from Llavanes de la Reina is an alternative route of Puerto de San Glorio. The itinerary is most evident and direct but the slope is lightly superior.

Getting There*Approach to Riaño: from Palencia (C-615) or Burgos (N-120) go to Carrión de los Condes. N-120 to Sahagún. C-611 to Cistierna. N-621 to Nuevo Riaño.
*Llavanes de la Reina (1410m): in the km-117 of road N-621 from Riaño (25km) before the Puerto de San Glorio. The track of 3km to Vega del Naranco (1550m) generally is closed.Route Description Col of Robadoiro |
The curve in the exit of the village of Llavanes de la Reina is the beginning of the track (generally closed to cars). It's an easy walk-up of 3 km to the refuge of Tajahierro or Vega del Naranco (1550m, 45 min). The path go in direction SE over the valley of river. The col of Robadoiro is evident in front of us but we turn to right descending to cross the river before the bifuraction of cairns. We follow the left to the Collado de Robadoiro (2086m, 2h 15min).
From there is the same route of San Glorio across Altos de Cubil de Can and Tres Provincias.Essential GearNothing special in summer and fall.
