Overview

The constant flow of water and thick ice, give this waterfall route it's namesake emerald color. Located in a hidden cirque above and beyond the noises of the highway, this spectacular climb has a feeling of being in the Canadian Rockies.

Getting There

Park at the small pullout near milepost 13, immediately south of a small pool of water on the east side of the highway. Climb the steep trail that cuts up and left through a small notch and into the basin above. The short hike up the hill towards the route take about 15 minutes.

Route Description

A small 20 foot step leads to a more sustained pitch of climbing above with a classic top out.

Essential Gear

Ice Screws
