Overview This is another classic Joe's Valley climb that follows a streambed for several thousand feet, has several curtains, pillars, and bouldering problems. Deadbolt is the initial large curtain, and Highway to Heaven is the legthy streambed that follows. It's cool, and makes a great soloing jaunt.
Getting ThereIn Straight Canyon, park at the pullout nearest Cox Swale (mm7.4) Cross the stream and head up through a cool cave to the first major pitch.
Route Description Go over several steps, through the cave, and reach the main curtain. This curtain is about 15 meters high and can be a WI4 fat curtain, or a WI5 pillar.
Descend via the route, rapping when prudent (I recall bolts at the top of the initial curtain, Deadbolt), or skirting the route to the east.
