Overview

Mixed climbing on the east face of Wysoka, 450 m. The summit is one of the best, if not the best viewpoint in the Tatras.

Getting There

Depending on snow conditions 2-3 hours approach form Popradske Pleso hut to Rumanowa Dolinka Valley.

Route Description

The route follows big, central depression. Two difficult (IV-V) mixed pitches on the start and on the end of the route, steep snow and easy mixt in the middle.
It starts at the lowest part of the face, where a big ramp goes right. Follow the ramp until you reach a shallow chimney on the left. Climb the chimney and get to the big platform. From the platform follow big depression going up and right. After two pitches you will reach a chimney on the left. Climb the chimney for few meters and then go right on the narrow slab. The route above the slab is easy - get to the ridge and then to the top of Wysoka.

Essential Gear

2 warthogs, 4-5 pitons, set of friends and rocks.
