Routes on Rakaposhi's North Face

Only two routes have been completed on the north face of Rakaposhi with only one of these finishing at the main summit. The North ridge has been climbed twice; first by a Japanese Team in 1979 followed by a Canadian team who climbed it Alpine style. The East Ridge has also been climbed twice; first by an Austrian team in 1985, then by a Japanese team in 1985. The NW ridge route is also partially shown. This route joins the ridge from the Biro Glacier to the south and then leaves the ridge towards the summit to join the SW Spur (and first ascent) route. It was first climbed in 1979 by a Polish team.
