The Kamienne (Stone) Mountains are composed of hard volcanic rocks (Paleozoic of age), reddish in color. The walls of Rogowiec Castle (German name: Hornschloss) built in C13/14 on a 864m summit, among sycamore maple trees, were partly natural. More images here
