Nice little mountain, but beware of hoards of tourists. I've hiked/run up Ryan Mountain probably 15-20 times. It was a good morning warmup when I used to live in the Park.
Matthew and I cross-countried this from Ryan campground, as directly as we could. We came down the same way.Great views from the summit.
Great short hike. Plenty of beautiful desert scenery along the way and spectacular views of SoCal's top two highpoints from the summit.
