| Mount San Jacinto is very impressive, and definitely one of my favorite mountains in South California. The rocky North and East Faces rise sharply above the desert floor, while the South and West Faces rise more gradually from the valley. A nice pine forest covers most of the massif, along with a multitude of amazing granite boulders and spires scattered across ridges, peaks, and just about everywhere on the mountain. Have done Round Valley from Tram in December and Fuller Ridge in September. | |

| It's a close call between this one and Devil's Slide as to which I like better. Deer Springs is less steep but more sloggy. Seems much quieter on Deer Springs, especially at lower altitudes before the intersections. Lots of falling water up near Marion is also a beautiful plus, but the views on Slide might be superior. Just about exactly 8 hours of hiking plus 30 mins of breaks. Surprised a rattlesnake on the trail about a mile before the Strawberry campground. | ||

| Hiked up from the Tram, tagged Miller, headed up to San Jacinto, down to Folly, back to SJ-Jean saddle and straight down to the meadow and back to the Tram. Only needed crampons between San Jacinto and Folly and from the saddle down to the summer trail. Great day! | |

| Realized I forgot my sunglasses 2 miles in, had to go back and get them. Made for a long day. Needed crampons above 7,300'. Cross-country after that for the most part...trail was hard to follow. Fun outing. | |

| went up the snow creek coulier, started at night it was an interesting approach, probably varied from the route a few times because we ended up doing a few 5th class short climbs. Got the peak around 5, boogied down to the tram, and luckily had no problem hitch hiking back to where we parked our vehicle. | |

| It was a fun climb with very interesting approach through the bushes, bolders, creeks. We did a direct summit with ~55deg bolder slope covered in a snow. Started at 4:15 am and reached the summit by 5:25 pm | |
