| Up Sid Davis again, then on to Miller Saddle and straight up behind the summit hut. Broke trail through fresh snow for group for good stretches. First people to the summit that day! | ||

| revolvingscimitar | Snowshoe from Tram ![]() Date Climbed: Dec 15, 2012 | |
| On my birthday, decided to snowshoe my favorite peak in Southern California. Took Sid Davis route to Jean, tagged Jean then stayed on the ridge to San J. Reached the summit first in the group. | ||

| mebo1126 | Beautiful Views | |
| Went up the Palm Springs side via the tram. I would like to do this from Idyllwild, but waiting until I'm in better shape. The hike was fun and the views spectacular. If you are looking for just a day hike, a trip to the saddle is well worth it. | ||

| 0ukami | Via Marion Mountain Trailhead ![]() Date Climbed: Nov 2, 2012 | |
| Relatively strenuous for a day-hike. More for the novice mountaineer or experienced hiker than for the average person. Great scenery, awesome views from the top. Beware of your pace, if you take frequent breaks and go uphill slowly, while not starting early enough, you could be finding your way down in the dark. Careful planning can negate this. | ||

| pdx2lax | Great Dayhike via Humber Park ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 7, 2012 | |
| Second time doing this hike and it's one of my favorites. Great summit! Good alt gain at the start, then it levels off to let you catch your breath, and then a good gain at then end to challenge you a bit. This route is a little annoying because once you merge with the Tram Trail it gets a lot busier. | ||

| revolvingscimitar | From Snow Creek via PCT ![]() Date Climbed: May 12, 2012 | |
| Completed what has to the hardest on-trail approach to San J: from Snow Creek below the northern face, following the PCT for some 20+ miles, then up Deer Springs trail (over snow and postholing) to the summit, down to the tram. 30 miles, 10,400' gain. Harder than C2C. | ||

| revolvingscimitar | From Palm Springs via C2C ![]() Date Climbed: Apr 28, 2012 | |
| Started with just Skyline in mind, but made good time and felt great, so continued with full C2C. Ran into snow from Round Valley and postholed to above Wellman Divide, where we intercepted the regular trail and followed it to the top. | ||

| revolvingscimitar | From Long Valley via Sid Davis Winter Route ![]() Date Climbed: Apr 14, 2012 | |
| Last snowshoeing outing of the season was absolutely fabulous in the wake of a departing storm. Went straight up via Sid Davis winter route to the Miller Saddle, then to summit. | ||

| revolvingscimitar | From Long Valley ![]() Date Climbed: Jan 21, 2012 | |
| Regular trail covered in ice from Wellman Divide, but distinguishable. Almost got blown off the top by 60+ mph winds. Upon returning to tram, found out it was closed and we were stranded on the mountain. Spent night in mule shed next to ranger station. | ||

| revolvingscimitar | From Palm Springs via C2C ![]() Date Climbed: Oct 29, 2011 | |
| My first C2C was a complete success: perfect weather, strong group, 100% summit rate (17 of 17 made it). | ||
