Did as a '2fer' with Frog Mountain after getting rained out on another project. Truthfully, I'd have to be pretty bored to come back to this hill. Maybe I'll check out the north part of the ridge as a snowshoe trip in the future.
I'm told this peak doesn't look much from neighboring peaks. I was blown away by the views on the north ridge just a short distance from the summit. The Monte Cristo group is in your face. Thanks Redwic for putting this trip together and posting the page.
Looking at the mountain from a distance, one might think it has little to offer. Quite the contrary, I found out. Gorgeous forests, including some large old-growth trees. Fantastic views from the eastern slopes and especially from several areas along the upper ridgeline. Highly recommended!!!
