Favourite Range!
Been on so many hiking and climbing trips down here, I can't remember. Excellent off-roading and photography as well.

First of hopefully many trips
Did some ice climbing for my first adventure into the San Juans. Too much fresh snow to grab a peak, but I will hopefully be back. Very remote and beautiful.
Hiked Mount Sneffels and explored around Ouray the first time, then explored around Silverton the next time with a family hike of Ice Lake Basin. The San Juans are definitely my favorite range in Colorado, and there are still many hikes I'd like to come back and do in the future.
From day hikes to car camping to backpacking.... Can't beat the San Juan Range. Courthouse Mountain was my first climb there. Explored Noname Basin last summer.
This area has some nice trad routes - easily accessible from Hwy 285, on the eastern edge of the San Juans. Great day trip from the Sangres, or make a week of it - you choose!

my favorite mountainsI live close to San Juans and this is my favorite range. I did hike numerous trails and peaks here, many overnights, ski trips and ice climbs.

oh, the san juans!are my favorite colorado mountain range, and the grenadiers are my favorite section of this massive collaboration of mountains.
