Same route as David
I dove into the brush at the summit, although I did not find a metal stake. I did take home some scratches and cuts, however.

Quick up and down
Quick hike from the end of Higgins Way in Pacifica, up an eroded gully and down the trail. The actual high point is a metal stake in the brush about 50' north of the trail.

Montara Beach Beginnings
Parked at the smaller Montara Beach eastern parking area, hiked up the North Peak Access Road to the North Peak of Montara Mountain, then back down to turnoff marked "To Pacifica, Linda Mar" hiked up this to the 4-way junction, went left, hiking past bench and along the narrow single track and up to the roly-poly top of San Pedro Mountain.

From Montara Beach T-head
Easy walk up but I was wasted at the end 'cause I was on my feet all day working in Half Moon Bay with no lunch break. Also some years back, same route.
